Historically, the term merkava has strong kabbalistic connections. The earliest form of mystical Kabbala literature is found in the tradition of the merkava mystics (circa 100 B.C.-A.D. 1000). Merkava means 'Throne-Chariot' and refers to the chariot of Ezekiel's vision. The goal of the merkava mystic was to enter the throne world, after passing through seven heavenly mansions."

The seven heavens are derived from the Kabbalistic view of the body of the son, that of the 7 lower spheres. But nowadays, for some mysterious reason, perhaps because the time has come for us to step into this higher reality, we are able to reach these states quicker and just as lucidly. Reading Ezekiel, although it sparked a whole stream of mystical explorations, it sometimes sounds like he is on drugs - and some good ones too. Either that, or he is having a serious breakdown.

As an explorer, who is breaking into new ground, with no prior experience or teachers, except what was learnt from the 5 books of Moses, the Torah, he was floundering a little, especially to express what was happening to him. Though the expression of the chariot and the angels is quite breathtaking.

But here I am now, the beneficiary of at least 5769 years of culture - which means a vast depository of experiences, thoughts, ideas, propositions and even other such ancilliary stuff, like poems, songs, music, dance, etc. And, on top of that, I think 5769 is an extremely conservative estimate for out time. It is more likely to be in the millions of years of experience. Some say from the beginnings of creation...

Also, the energy garnered after all this time for certain objects, like the Christian crosses, the Hebrew letters, and even certain prayers, must certainly have increased in potency. That is why today we have so much "grokking" happening in certain places.

Perhaps that is why "Merkava meditation" works today. Just 17+1 breaths and you can be transported to another place.

There is another way, that has become known as the Merkava Descent, which has, through the ages, seemed to be an exceedingly complicated guide to entering this other, so-called spiritual realm. Lately, using the Quantum Knowing that is spreading consistently, becoming more and more familiar to us all, together with uncovering the Shamanic strain in the Merkava Mysticism, it seems that a lot of us primed to easily step into another dimension, known as the spirit world.

By tradition, you descend with a guide, the facilitator, who would already be experienced and trained in traversing our other, ephemeral realm. Using Hebrew symbols and the inexpressible Name of G!d, HaShem, he journeys with you into your inner, dream space. Inside your mind, you explore and determine whether it needs to be re-arranged, and how. Most of our waking day is spent in co-ordinating our relationship with our external reality. At night, when we sleep, most of our time is spent interacting with another "reality", our inner world's reality. This is a method for accessing that place, which, I believe is much closer to the source of whom we are, or equally closer to the Being, or Energy, that created us, the one we call "The Creator".

As this inner work is been done, the shift in energy will begin, please G!d, to work on the manifest plain, this, the Kingdom of G!d. Here is where our work is to be done. If anything, it is to transmute the golden light from above, and enable it to manifest on this plane, hopefully to uplift whatever it comes into contact with.

It is like re-arranging the inner crystal, one's actuall DNA will manifest differently. It is not the DNA that is being altered, it is the epigenetic effect of this DNA, that we can change. We cannot change the template, but we can edit the narative that is created from the template.

The difference with this method and the one's described above, is that this method understands that we are the actual chariots. We are, actually, contained in this chariot. We are this rotating light crystal, that forms the merkaba. How did we descend anyways, and become incarnate? We emerged as this chariot.

The place to walk is in the interface between the creator of the chariot, and the chariot itself. The place were the code is placed, to emerge in this reality. This is the place of our work. It is in the pathway from the upper to the lower.

There might be ways and methods that could take us higher. But this is the first doorway. Once that has been set in place, then one can consider whether one wants to approach another doorway.

In those realms, one encounters beings, guides one can call them, who are there to guide and help us. Each one of us will be "helped" to know which are their guides, and which are not. For there are all sorts of beings that live by sucking on the light, not having found (or having lost) their own source of light. Once one guide has been identified, he or she or it can help one discern between what is yours and what is not.

One of the most difficult tasks we face is to clear out one's inner space, dealing with that constant inner dialogue, and lucidly re-arrange these metaphors and stories. It is something that a lot of New Age movements, from Scientology to LifeSprints, as well as all religions, struggle with.

Outwardly, we speak in terms of mythology. Here we speak of the inner myths and metaphors that have been wrapped around you to express you your relationship with the "reality around you".

And thus the journey begins. If someone is interested in exploring these spaces, and is serious.

You will need to find and to create a place, one which we call one's "Safe Place". That is the point of origin, the zero point, where everything is removed. Everything. It approaches that state of nothing, where only you exist. That is one's essential inner existence, anyway, is it not?

Once you have cleansed this space, you can then seek your guide. Against this background, with no distractions, it is easier to discern who is your true guide. And he will guide you from then on. Even lead you to other guides.

After some practice, you will become more able to enter and interact with this space, with the help of your guide.
